Field tracking and travel allowance
Turn tracking on, see routes, correct the distance and pay travel allowance automatically.
For field staff, HRBloom records the route travelled during the day through the employee tracking app and can pay a travel allowance from the distance.
Turn tracking on
- Step 1: Open the employee's Attendance page and switch Geo Tracking on.
- Step 2: The employee installs the tracking app. The download link is under Tracking → View Activity.
- Step 3: The employee signs in and starts a session when they begin field work.
The tracking app is separate from the main HRBloom mobile app.

The route is drawn from phone GPS readings. Readings can be off by 30 to 60 metres, so the line may sometimes jump to a nearby parallel road.
Correcting the distance
A bad GPS reading can add distance that was never travelled.
- Use Track Report Settings to set a Minimum and Maximum KM per ping. Readings outside this range are ignored.
- On a route, you can exclude a single reading from the total, and include it again later.
Automatic travel allowance
Turn it on per branch under Configuration → Auto Tracking Allowance, then enter an Allowance name (for example "Travel Allowance") and a Rate per km (₹).
- Every night at 11:30 PM, HRBloom creates one pending allowance per employee for that day: tracked km × rate.
- Any session still running is stopped and counted.
- Days with no movement are skipped.
- You approve or reject these under Payroll → Allowances. Automatic entries cannot be edited or deleted.
Example: 42.6 km tracked at ₹4 per km creates a pending allowance of ₹170.40 for that day.
